•Hook: Streamer or salmon hook (sizes 4 to 8) depending on the size of the target fish.
•Tail: zonker strip(often made from rabbit fur), which provide a lot of movement in the water, creating a lifelike, undulating action.
•Body: Wrapped with chenille or estaz for a thick, textured look, often in black, purple, or olive colors to resemble leech bodies.
•Flash: Strands of Flashabou or Krystal Flash are incorporated into the tail or body to add subtle shine and imitate the glint of scales or water reflections.
•Head: Dumbbel eyes combined with chenille to give the fly additional weight for sinking quickly and to create a balanced profile that moves realistically in the water.
Target Species:
