Flashback Hares ear (olive)

The Flashback Hare’s Ear Olive Nymph is a versatile fly pattern designed to imitate a variety of aquatic insects, particularly mayfly nymphs, with an olive-colored twist. The body is crafted from olive-dyed hare’s ear dubbing, which gives the fly a natural, buggy appearance with a greenish hue that can be particularly effective in imitating certain nymphs. A shiny, reflective strip of Mylar or similar material is placed along the back to create a “flashback” effect, enhancing the fly’s visibility underwater. The addition of a bead head, often in gold or copper, helps the fly sink quickly and adds a bit of flash, making it a great choice in various water conditions, especially when fish are keying in on olive-colored nymphs.
