Who We Are:
Vikings Fishing Tackles is a Kenya-based fly-tying workshop in Lusingetti, Kikuyu, and a wholesale supplier of premium hand-tied fishing flies. We produce for fly shops, distributors, outfitters and guides internationally, and sell directly to individual anglers. Thirteen years of tying sit behind every pattern we make.
Made At The Vice:
Tying by hand is a deliberate choice, not a limitation. Working at the vice gives our tyers control over proportion, material placement and finish that machine production cannot match, and it is how a pattern holds its shape across a hundred repeats. A single dozen and a full wholesale shipment are made the same way.
Materials We Use:
Furs, skins and floss come from established suppliers in Germany, the USA and the UK. Hooks come from manufacturers in Japan, Korea, Norway and France, including Daiichi, VMC, Mustad, TMC and Kumho. We choose components for how they behave once wet, not for how they look in a bin.
Quality Inspection:
Nothing leaves the workshop unexamined. Every order is checked against our standards for proportion, durability and finish, whatever its size. It is an unglamorous step, and it is why repeat buyers can plan around us.
The People Behind The Patterns:
Our workshop pairs experienced tyers with newer talent trained on site. That keeps standards steady while the pattern library grows in step with what anglers are asking for.
Wholesale And Retail:
For the trade we act as a long-term manufacturing partner, producing to agreed specifications and holding the same standards on repeat orders. Individual anglers receive flies made by the same hands, from the same materials.
