Big Eye Tarpon

The Big Eyes Tarpon fly pattern is designed to imitate baitfish and attract large predatory fish with its lifelike movement and prominent eyes. These flies are built to withstand the strength of tarpon and other large game species, but they are also effective for targeting large saltwater trout.

Materials:

• Tail: Marabou or soft feathers for natural, flowing movement, with added Flashabou or Krystal Flash for extra attraction.
• Body: Bucktail and other synthetic materials to create a durable and realistic baitfish profile.
• Head: Large doll-like eyes to mimic the appearance of baitfish and serve as a focal point for predatory fish.

Target Fish:

Primarily designed for tarpon, this pattern is also effective for targeting large saltwater trout, such as sea-run browns and speckled trout, especially in estuarine environments where these fish feed on baitfish.
