Muddler (brown)

Materials:

• Hook: 2x or 3x long streamer hook, sizes 4 to 10 (e.g., Mustad 9672 or Tiemco 5263)
• Thread: Black or brown 6/0 or 140 denier
• Tail: Sparse marabou or turkey quill slips (often natural brown or mottled)
• Body: Gold or silver tinsel or Mylar for flash, or a natural-looking material such as peacock herl
• Wing: Turkey quill slips or other natural feathers tied in flat, representing a streamlined body or the sides of a baitfish
• Head: Spun and clipped natural deer hair, shaped into a muddler-style, rounded head to create buoyancy and water disturbance

Fishing Techniques:
