Materials used:

• Hook: A standard nymph hook (sizes #16-22) to mimic the small profile of a midge.
• Bead Head: Silver or gold bead head for weight and to help the fly sink quickly into the strike zone.
• Body: Red thread or floss wrapped tightly to create a slim, smooth body.
• Ribbing: Fine silver wire wrapped around the body to provide segmentation and flash.
• Thread: Red tying thread for the body and head.
